Willkommen, Bienvenue, Welcome!
Learn something about me as a person, as a developer and about my projects.
Education is important.
And going to school or university is probably the best time of your life...
is a free, linked database
that can be read and edited
by both humans and machines.
During my Bachelor's project, I developed together with five fellow students a tool to improve its overall data quality and trustworthiness. For more information please refer to the press release, the video of the final presentation (both in German) or our project page.
Wikidata as an open, linked database enables machines to access the data to answer complicated questions. I wrote an application that understands your questions in natural language, queries Wikidata and gives you an answer, also in natural language. If you belong to the few people owning an Amazon Echo, you can even ask Alexa, and she will ask Wikidata to answer that for you. Curious, how this works? Want to help improve it? Than have a look at it @GitHub.
Internship at SAP Labs LLC in Palo Alto, California
Most of the work I did there is of course confidential and now intellectual property of SAP,
but if you are at the Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona, you can come to the SAP Booth to see
some demos. :)
What do I do in my freetime?
Well, mostly sports...
My passion is football (the kind of game that you play with a ball and your feet, not the American Handegg version). I have been playing it for about 17 years and I still play in the same club, SV Schmöckwitz-Eichwalde. Allthough this is my main sport, I really enjoy most kind of ball sports, whether it is Handball, Tennis or even Basketball. I also like doing fun sports like skiing, snowboarding or surfing, and so far, I haven't injured myself.
So... If you are looking for someone to help you beat your rival in the next company competition, I am your man! You can hire me and I will try my best to make this happen. And in the meantime I could work as a developer... ;)
